Transportation

Generally there are no direct flights between Nizhny Novgorod and countries abroad, but there are regular flights and trains to the city from Moscow and other major Russian cities.

Overseas airlines arrive to Moscow either to Sheremetyevo international airport (all major international airlines and Aeroflot) or to Domodedovo international airport (Swiss Airlines, AirMalta, British Airways, Emirates, El Al, China Eastern, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and most of the Central Asian airlines, plus most domestic airlines, except Aeroflot) or to Vnukovo international airport (flights from Riga and Vilnius by UTair).

Route 1: by plane

You can fly from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod taking a connecting flight with a plane change in Moscow or two separate flights: international and domestic. Check both variants to choose the most appropriate for you.

Note! You may need to change airports if you take two separate flights. The easiest way to reach other airport is to take a taxi.

Route 2: by train

If you decide to come from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod by train, you can take a taxi from the airport to the railway stations. We recommend fast-speed direct trains Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod, which depart from the Kursky railway terminal.

You can check the exact schedule and buy tickets online here.

When you arrive to Nizhny Novgorod either by plane or by train, please, take a taxi from the airport or the railway station to your hotel. You can also order a transfer to the hotel while booking a room.
